After 25 played minutes Gaandrik got a freekick which was hit by Dean Bartlett. If Justice Dube had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Justice Dube shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Sono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Simamane Nomvete ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dean Sono was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Ivan Mabalane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Simamane Nomvete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Sono having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Eleven Old Crooks's zone, Elias Sibeko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benicio Calixto came out of the goal and Elias Sibeko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Anas Al Dowaisan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gaandrik's Dean Sono was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dean Sono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simamane Nomvete, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Gaandrik's goal looked a bit too open when Justice Dube came free, but Dean Sono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dean Bartlett made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Tebogo Wanani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benicio Calixto was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 54th minute, one of Gaandrik:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gaandrik. Dean Sono had in the 56thth minute some difficulties stopping Anas Al Dowaisan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 59 minutes, Tebogo Wanani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gaandrik and the Fc Eleven Old Crooks players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gaandrik's Tebogo Wanani got a free kick in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justice Dube got free with Dean Sono in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simamane Nomvete in the 65th minute of play forced Gaandrik's goalkeeper Dean Sono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Anas Al Dowaisan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dean Sono. Gaandrik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anas Al Dowaisan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Dean Sono made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Mkhwanazi in the 74th minute. After 76 minutes, Simamane Nomvete made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Dean Sono made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. 92 minutes into the match, Fc Eleven Old Crooks's Alex Machete sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dean Sono narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 98 minutes into the match, Gaandrik's goal looked a bit too open when Simamane Nomvete came free, but Dean Sono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fc Eleven Old Crooks played a much better game than Gaandrik and deserved their victory. The Gaandrik players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
