Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mpenza Mandla started the match with the kick off. Mpenza Mandla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jomo Laher having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Dikgang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sibongile Mncube to maneuver through the defense. Silas Laher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Wycliffe Mumede tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nazeer Wanani struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Wycliffe Mumede didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dikgang. Silas Laher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Wycliffe Mumede tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wycliffe Mumede made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Ntsume in the 41st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silas Laher in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wycliffe Mumede saved Mabetshe from getting behind. Michael Qabi's late challenge caught a Dikgang's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Qabi helped the player get up and apologised. Michael Qabi kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mabetshe's zone, Silas Laher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wycliffe Mumede came out of the goal and Silas Laher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silas Laher made a kick off. Mabetshe's Wycliffe Mumede played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Laher in the 51st minute of play. Wycliffe Mumede made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nazeer Wanani in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Silas Laher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dikgang's supporters rose to their feet, but Silas Laher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wycliffe Mumede breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the match, Mabetshe's goal looked a bit too open when Nazeer Wanani came free, but Wycliffe Mumede reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mabetshe booed when Dikgang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lindo Thompson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Meshack Klaasens, 66 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Nazeer Wanani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wycliffe Mumede stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silas Laher's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. The audience was convinced that Silas Laher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wycliffe Mumede was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 76th match minute, Mabetshe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lindo Madiba to maneuver through the defense. Jomo Laher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Mhlongo in the 86th minute of the match. Dikgang's Silas Laher got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Silas Laher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wycliffe Mumede was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. Dikgang's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
