Spectators: 6858 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1858, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Thomas Nhlapo got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Doornaar's Patrick Koen got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 9 minutes of play, King Von's Freddie Mufumadi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eric Mandela was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Siphokazi Setlaba fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Doornaar's protests and gave Siphokazi Setlaba a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, FC Doornaar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siphokazi Setlaba to maneuver through the defense. Eric Mandela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddie Mufumadi in the 14th minute of the match. The King Von fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when King Von's Freddie Mufumadi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Patrick Koen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20thth minute of the game Freddie Mufumadi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Doornaar's Eric Mandela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eric Mandela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Nhlapo in the 23rd minute of play. When Freddie Mufumadi came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the King Von fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddie Mufumadi couldn't finish the play. Eric Mandela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Nhlapo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jocob Arendse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Mthunzi Mumede tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Thomas Nhlapo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eric Mandela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddie Mufumadi's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. FC Doornaar's Eric Mandela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Nhlapo in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute Thomas Nhlapo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Mandela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. King Von's Mthunzi Mumede proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save King Von from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jocob Arendse to make the kick off. King Von's Freddie Mufumadi got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thomas Nhlapo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. King Von's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Mthunzi Mumede showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Koen in the 56th minute of the match. If Freddie Mufumadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Mufumadi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Eric Mandela skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thomas Nhlapo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-4 became the score in the 68th minute when Thomas Nhlapo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to FC Doornaar getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Maluleke Lekgwathi hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Thomas Nhlapo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Mandela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jocob Arendse came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the FC Doornaar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jocob Arendse couldn't finish the play. Eric Kolwa's late challenge caught a FC Doornaar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Kolwa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to King Von getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Eric Kolwa hit a great ball. In the 89th minute of the match Lungie Thembe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mthunzi Mumede showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alpheus Mhlathe kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Patrick Koen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Mthunzi Mumede tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The King Von players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
