Spectators: 6867 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1867, VIP seats: 0) Simamane Cassim made the kick off and thus started the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andre Edwards in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hassan Radebe saved FC Badplaas from getting behind. Apple fc's Darren Miti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simamane Cassim in the 10th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Badplaas's goalkeeper Hassan Radebe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Andre Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Mabele's late challenge caught a Apple fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Mabele helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes FC Badplaas got a freekick which was hit by Eric Mabele. After 23 played minutes Apple fc got a freekick which was hit by Jason Mothobi. FC Badplaas's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 24th minute of the game, when Patrice Konza after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Apple fc's goal. Patrice Konza was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. If Simamane Cassim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rob Shongwe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Darren Miti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Patrice Konza sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Apple fc's Darren Miti didn't even have to move. A collision led to FC Badplaas getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Bernard Thwala hit a great ball. Mpenza Stoltz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Darren Miti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute Andre Edwards shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hassan Radebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andre Edwards to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jomo Makweni got free with Hassan Radebe in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Jomo Makweni got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Darren Miti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simamane Cassim's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After 61 played minutes Apple fc got a freekick which was hit by Siyabonge Khomane. Hassan Radebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jafta Konza in the 69th minute of the match. Jafta Konza charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jafta Konza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jafta Konza hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Simamane Cassim came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the FC Badplaas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simamane Cassim couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Apple fc walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
