Spectators: 6841 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dumisane Mkhize took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Jason Madiba came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the FC Povall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Madiba couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Dumisane Mkhize's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ismail Thembe was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the match, FC Povall's goalkeeper Ismail Thembe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edries Patel. If Edries Patel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edries Patel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ismail Thembe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenny Magagane hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Edries Patel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismail Thembe having to interfere. Dumisane Modipa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenny Nkadimeng in the 29th minute of play. Kenny Nkadimeng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dumisane Modipa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 played minutes FC Besonderheid got a freekick which was hit by Siphokazi Nhlapo. Dumisane Modipa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny Nkadimeng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Siphokazi Nhlapo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Besonderheid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Povall the free kick. The supporters of FC Povall booed when FC Besonderheid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siphokazi Nhlapo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kenny Nkadimeng stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dumisane Mkhize received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ismail Thembe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, FC Povall's goal looked a bit too open when Siphokazi Nhlapo came free, but Ismail Thembe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute of the match FC Besonderheid got a corner. FC Povall's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oliver Mkhize ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edries Patel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismail Thembe having to interfere. After 66th play minutes Dumisane Mkhize shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Ismail Thembe and just under the crossbar into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Edries Patel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Besonderheid's supporters rose to their feet, but Edries Patel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismail Thembe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kenny Nkadimeng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dumisane Modipa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Edries Patel took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ismail Thembe. Ismail Thembe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 92 minutes into the game, Jeff Mabalane recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dumisane Modipa. Jeff Mabalane showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. When Nkosi Steyn fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Besonderheid's protests and gave Nkosi Steyn a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 played minutes FC Besonderheid got a freekick which was hit by Nkosi Steyn. During the 97th minute of the match Siphokazi Nhlapo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Siphokazi Nhlapo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 98th match minute, FC Besonderheid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siphokazi Nhlapo to maneuver through the defense. In the 101st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Besonderheid's goalkeeper Dumisane Modipa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Besonderheid were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
