Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tebogo Serage ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jomo Kekana got free with Rob Sephadi in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, FC Stilbaai's Rob Sephadi got control of the ball when Jomo Kekana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harry Kolwa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rob Sephadi came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Culunca's Jomo Kekana. But to his dismay, Jomo Kekana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Jomo Kekana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rob Sephadi having to interfere. Promise Klein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harry Kolwa's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 30th match minute, FC Culunca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Magagane to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute of the match Rob Mbheki sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Promise Klein skillfully saved the ball. Jomo Kekana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rob Sephadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Meshack Strauss struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Promise Klein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Stilbaai. FC Culunca's Promise Klein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meshack Strauss in the 38th minute of play. Promise Klein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Meshack Strauss's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Culunca's Tebogo Serage got a free kick in the 40th minute. Yacoob Tshabalala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Rob Sephadi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yacoob Tshabalala in the 56th minute of the match. Rob Sephadi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jomo Kekana, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After some careless play in the FC Stilbaai defense, Yacoob Tshabalala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rob Sephadi. The FC Stilbaai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rob Sephadi should have stopped the shot. FC Stilbaai's Rob Sephadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yacoob Tshabalala in the 66th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yacoob Tshabalala in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rob Sephadi saved FC Stilbaai from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Meshack Strauss got free with Promise Klein in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Promise Klein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Kolwa in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Mpho Arendse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Culunca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Stilbaai the free kick. A collision led to FC Culunca getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Mpho Arendse hit a great ball. Rob Mbheki took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Promise Klein. FC Culunca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. FC Culunca's Promise Klein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save FC Culunca from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the match, FC Culunca's Jomo Kekana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rob Sephadi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Promise Klein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Kolwa in the 94th minute of play. FC Culunca's Promise Klein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save FC Culunca from getting a goal against them.
