Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Harry Kolwa made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Gawesa getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Dean Macheke hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, FC Stilbaai's Rob Mbheki tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gawesa's Jafta Lekgwathi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Gawesa from getting a goal against them. Meshack Strauss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jafta Lekgwathi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Stilbaai's Rob Sephadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Sibeko in the 30th minute of play. Charles Sibeko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rob Sephadi having to interfere. After 39 minutes, Charles Sibeko made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC Stilbaai's Rob Sephadi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hanile Thebile in the 43rd minute of play forced FC Stilbaai's goalkeeper Rob Sephadi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Charles Sibeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Sephadi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Stilbaai's zone, Hanile Thebile stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rob Sephadi came out of the goal and Hanile Thebile tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Charles Sibeko made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Gawesa getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Hanile Thebile hit a great ball. If Hanile Thebile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rob Sephadi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Sibeko in the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, FC Stilbaai's goalkeeper Rob Sephadi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hanile Thebile. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hanile Thebile got free with Rob Sephadi in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the match, FC Stilbaai's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Sibeko came free, but Rob Sephadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rob Sephadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Sibeko in the 64th minute of play. With his leg Rob Sephadi managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Gawesa's Hanile Thebile fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, FC Stilbaai's Lebang Bandura got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 73 played minutes, Gawesa's Vuyo Collins shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rob Sephadi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gawesa reached it. If Charles Sibeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Stilbaai's Rob Sephadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Sibeko in the 82nd minute of play. If Hanile Thebile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, FC Stilbaai's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Sibeko came free, but Rob Sephadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 94 in the game by Hanile Thebile from a close distance when the talented Rob Sephadi managed to make a qualified save. FC Stilbaai's players were relieved. 96 minutes into the game, FC Stilbaai's Harry Kolwa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jafta Lekgwathi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Gawesa left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Stilbaai.
