Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Charles Sibeko took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Gawesa's Dumisane Madiya got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Madolo Mabele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ebrahim Komani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Sibeko in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Gawesa booed when Helena sk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sibongile Mandela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Tembe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Jafta Lekgwathi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ebrahim Komani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hanile Thebile, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Charles Sibeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Madolo Mabele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jafta Lekgwathi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dean Macheke kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Charles Sibeko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gawesa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Sibeko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charles Sibeko took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ebrahim Komani. Ebrahim Komani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 37 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Gawesa's Charles Sibeko fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Helena sk's goalkeeper Ebrahim Komani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Madolo Mabele's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jafta Lekgwathi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Tembe to make the kick off. Madolo Mabele struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jafta Lekgwathi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Helena sk. When Darren Mayoyo fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gawesa's protests and gave Darren Mayoyo a yellow card for diving instead. Darren Mayoyo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Gawesa's Charles Sibeko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ebrahim Komani. Ebrahim Komani yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Jafta Lekgwathi came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Helena sk's Madolo Mabele. But to his dismay, Madolo Mabele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Gawesa's Charles Sibeko slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ebrahim Komani. That made the score 1-3 after 68 minutes of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Charles Sibeko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gawesa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Sibeko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th match minute, Gawesa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dean Macheke to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute of the match Rafael Koen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jafta Lekgwathi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Helena sk's Ebrahim Komani got control of the ball when Hanile Thebile tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ebrahim Komani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Sibeko, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ebrahim Komani was a little too slow when Dean Macheke got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Sibeko in the 89th minute of play forced Helena sk's goalkeeper Ebrahim Komani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charles Sibeko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
