Spectators: 6860 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1860, VIP seats: 0) Tunxe's Siyabonge Nauseb started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jomo Kekana in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darren Komani saved Tunxe from getting behind. Basil Etafia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sibongile Wanani's late challenge caught a Tunxe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sibongile Wanani helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Sibongile Wanani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darren Komani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jomo Kekana in the 23rd minute of play. If Jomo Kekana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yacoob Tshabalala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Komani having to interfere. In the 28thth minute of the game Jomo Kekana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tunxe's Darren Komani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred Roberts got free with Promise Klein in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Tunxe booed when FC Culunca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sibongile Wanani didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Culunca's goalkeeper Promise Klein, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Basil Etafia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Promise Klein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, FC Culunca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maseti Kanku to maneuver through the defense. Promise Klein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siyabonge Nauseb in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yacoob Tshabalala stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Mpho Arendse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Culunca's Promise Klein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basil Etafia in the 57th minute of play. Basil Etafia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Mpenza Macheke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tunxe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Culunca the free kick. After 66 played minutes Tunxe got a freekick which was hit by Mpenza Macheke. After a defensive mix-up in FC Culunca's zone, Basil Etafia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Promise Klein came out of the goal and Basil Etafia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darren Komani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yacoob Tshabalala in the 78th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Basil Etafia put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Promise Klein. In the 84th minute, Siyabonge Nauseb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Albert Magagane sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tunxe's Darren Komani didn't even have to move. If Basil Etafia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes, Patrick Liau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Culunca and the Tunxe players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Culunca getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Patrick Liau hit a great ball. In the 98th minute, Siyabonge Nauseb left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tunxe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Tunxe's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
