Spectators: 6841 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Silas Liau kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Akil Mangope dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thanyani Mbule, 1-0. A collision led to KwaMaxaka getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Silas Liau hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darren Edwards got free with Thanyani Mbule in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, KwaMaxaka's Thanyani Mbule got control of the ball when Alpheus Arendse tried to sneak it across the goal line. Darren Edwards sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alpheus Arendse kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, KwaMaxaka's Aubrey Thebile tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Samuel Collins scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francis Takane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, KwaMaxaka's Thanyani Mbule got control of the ball when Darren Edwards tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of KwaMaxaka booed when FC Neandertal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mabusela Lekgwathi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francis Takane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Collins in the 37th minute of play. Darren Edwards fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanyani Mbule having to interfere. Mando Edwards hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. KwaMaxaka's Thanyani Mbule proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save KwaMaxaka from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Francis Takane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Liau in the 53rd minute of play. If Samuel Collins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Darren Edwards managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Neandertal's supporters rose to their feet, but Darren Edwards was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thanyani Mbule breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jafta Koen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akil Mabalane hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of KwaMaxaka booed when FC Neandertal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mabusela Lekgwathi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jafta Koen took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thanyani Mbule. Thanyani Mbule dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After having played for 70 minutes, Darren Edwards managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Neandertal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darren Edwards was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Samuel Collins came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the KwaMaxaka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Collins couldn't finish the play. Samuel Collins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jafta Koen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 85 minutes into the match, KwaMaxaka's goal looked a bit too open when Jafta Koen came free, but Thanyani Mbule reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francis Takane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silas Liau, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 91stth minute of the game Silas Liau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Neandertal's Francis Takane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alpheus Arendse charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alpheus Arendse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd minute, Alpheus Arendse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francis Takane made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Samuel Collins sent off a good shot on target. FC Neandertal were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of KwaMaxaka for a fine match.
