Lucky Mahlangu charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justice Thebe in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sanjay Pretorius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Brandwag's Sanjay Pretorius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Sono in the 42nd minute of play. Lindo Sephadi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Basil Melele. hidden leaf's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
