The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sizwe Nunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Fieldmoor getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Daniel Mokhasi hit a great ball. Freddie Mandela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Nhlapo having to interfere. Boyisana Okpara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lindo Thompson having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, FC Kenmore's goal looked a bit too open when Freddie Mandela came free, but Dean Nhlapo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Mandela in the 93rd minute of play forced FC Kenmore's goalkeeper Dean Nhlapo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Kenmore eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
