In the 25th match minute, Spicy Meatballs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delron Mandla to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the FC Kapilaan defense, Jomo Thabang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lindo Stoltz. The FC Kapilaan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lindo Stoltz should have stopped the shot. Thami Thokozani made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Oliver Serage sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th match minute, FC Kapilaan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mawetu Bandura to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Spicy Meatballs FC's Andre Dube tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 39 minutes into the game, when Timothy Radebe put in a rough tackle. Andre Dube walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. FC Kapilaan's Lindo Stoltz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jomo Thabang in the 48th minute of play.

Thami Thokozani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lindo Strauss's shot from short distance in the 56th minute.
