In the 25th minute David Mfeke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Sephadi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When David Mfeke, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 27 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bernard Sephadi was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 29thth minute of the game Elias Stoltz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mamelodi Sundowns's Jikolo Thwala was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lesego Radebe got free with Jikolo Thwala in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
