The FC Ngwara fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when FC Ngwara's Sipho Qabi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumisane King in the 12th minute of play forced FC Ngwara's goalkeeper Jonas King to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Evutha's Rabelani Khumalo got control of the ball when Sipho Qabi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Dumisane King managed to get in a good position for a shot. Evutha's supporters rose to their feet, but Dumisane King was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas King breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ngwara's zone, Charles Liau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas King came out of the goal and Charles Liau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charles Liau in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas King prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Ngwara's Jonas King played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumisane King in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mathibela Mfeke to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonas King stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charles Liau's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Dumisane King might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas King. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dumisane King's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Jonas King skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. FC Ngwara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sipho Qabi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Evutha's Charles Liau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas King narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Sipho Qabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dumisane King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evutha's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC Ngwara had won, even though Evutha had held more of the ball.
