Albert Ngake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Madiba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as FINAL BATTLE FC's Bomikaze Fredericks slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ismail Roberts. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. Yacoob Radebe might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismail Roberts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yacoob Radebe ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to FINAL BATTLE FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Freddie Etafia hit a great ball. After 19 played minutes, FC Steelpoort's Albert Mbheki shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Albert Ngake came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Steelpoort reached it. After a defensive mix-up in FC Steelpoort's zone, Solly Radebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismail Roberts came out of the goal and Solly Radebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yacoob Fortuin kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Ismail Roberts acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 25th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rafael Mahlangu. Ismail Roberts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Solly Radebe in the 30th minute. In the 38th minute, Rafael Mahlangu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FINAL BATTLE FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Solly Radebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismail Roberts having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliver Madiba made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Jason Manyethela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FINAL BATTLE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Steelpoort the free kick. Jason Manyethela hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Ismail Roberts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gary Thebile, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ismail Roberts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Mahlangu in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Rafael Mahlangu notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of FC Steelpoort's Ismail Roberts. Ismail Roberts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lucky Setlaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver Madiba hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Eric Inguana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albert Ngake. FINAL BATTLE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eric Inguana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 91st minute, FINAL BATTLE FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cornell Nunes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Albert Ngake came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Steelpoort's Alfred Mbheki. But to his dismay, Alfred Mbheki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.
