Spectators: 8000 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jikolo Mncube kicked off to start the match. If Gordon Macheke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steve Pretorius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johann Laher in the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Macheke in the 6th minute of play forced Louisdal's goalkeeper Steve Pretorius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rising Sun F.C's Johann Laher got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Gordon Macheke notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Louisdal's Steve Pretorius. Steve Pretorius was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the game, Patrice Magagane was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rising Sun F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Louisdal the free kick. In the 14th match minute, Rising Sun F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrice Magagane to maneuver through the defense. Steve Pretorius came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Rising Sun F.C's Gordon Macheke. But to his dismay, Gordon Macheke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Jikolo Mncube took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Mthunzi Maduna to make any attempt to save it. Johann Laher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Steve Pretorius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Rising Sun F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Jikolo Mncube came free, but Mthunzi Maduna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gordon Macheke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louisdal's Steve Pretorius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johann Laher in the 32nd minute of play. Tomas Thebile hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Steve Pretorius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johann Laher, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Gordon Macheke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rising Sun F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Gordon Macheke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Pretorius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johann Laher to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delron Thwala in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mthunzi Maduna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 minutes of play, Louisdal's Jikolo Mncube made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mthunzi Maduna was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Thebile kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Louisdal's zone, Gordon Macheke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve Pretorius came out of the goal and Gordon Macheke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Johann Laher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steve Pretorius was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. The supporters of Louisdal booed when Rising Sun F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basil Mokhasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godfrey Edwards was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Louisdal's goal looked a bit too open when Johann Laher came free, but Steve Pretorius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Godfrey Edwards hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rob Sewele took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Steve Pretorius. Louisdal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 94th minute, Jikolo Mncube got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rising Sun F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
