Spectators: 6935 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1935, VIP seats: 0) Eerstegeluk's Aubrey Shoba started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Jomo Mufumadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When FC Masters's Milton King in 8 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Alpheus Cassim guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a defensive mix-up in Eerstegeluk's zone, Milton King stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alpheus Cassim came out of the goal and Milton King tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alpheus Cassim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton King in the 12th minute of play. Milton King recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nelson Kolwa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nazeer Nhlapo fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Masters's protests and gave Nazeer Nhlapo a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes FC Masters got a freekick which was hit by Nazeer Nhlapo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelson Kolwa got free with Bradley Qabi in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leon Melele kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jomo Mufumadi in the 29th minute of play forced Eerstegeluk's goalkeeper Alpheus Cassim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milton King fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alpheus Cassim having to interfere. Alpheus Cassim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jomo Mufumadi in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Jomo Mufumadi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alpheus Cassim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milton King fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alpheus Cassim having to interfere. FC Masters's Bradley Qabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aubrey Shoba in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Milton King made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Nelson Kolwa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bradley Qabi. FC Masters's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelson Kolwa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of FC Masters booed when Eerstegeluk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jikolo Mathibe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Milton King got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Eerstegeluk's goal looked a bit too open when Milton King came free, but Alpheus Cassim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fuzile Sono came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Eerstegeluk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fuzile Sono couldn't finish the play. Aubrey Shoba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, FC Masters's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Kolwa came free, but Bradley Qabi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alpheus Cassim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milton King, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 85th minute, Nelson Kolwa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eerstegeluk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Fuzile Sono kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Milton King received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Alpheus Cassim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Masters players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Eerstegeluk.
