Kaizer Chiefs F.C.'s Nkosi Modipa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timothy King in the 4th minute of play. Johann Thwala took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nkosi Modipa. Nkosi Modipa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Timothy King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernard Mfeke kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The supporters of Kaizer Chiefs F.C. booed when Mneketshe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justice Bartlett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mneketshe's Timothy King got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernard Mfeke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lindo Strauss having to interfere. Lindo Strauss made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Timothy Maduna sent off a good shot on target. The audience held their breath when Bernard Mfeke in the 34th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Lindo Strauss's left hand side. With a little luck, Mneketshe's Lindo Strauss got control of the ball when Timothy Maduna tried to sneak it across the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Mneketshe's Timothy King nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nkosi Modipa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Nkosi Modipa didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mneketshe's Timothy King shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timothy King was the one to do the kick off. In the 62nd minute, Timothy King got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Timothy King managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mneketshe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timothy King was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Timothy King recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Timothy King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Kaizer Chiefs F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Timothy King came free, but Nkosi Modipa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74thth minute of the game Ismail Madiba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kaizer Chiefs F.C.'s Nkosi Modipa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kaizer Chiefs F.C.'s Nkosi Modipa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timothy King in the 78th minute of play. Vuyo Mathibe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Nkosi Modipa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismail Madiba might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nkosi Modipa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ismail Madiba ran back to his position shaking his head. Timothy King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Joseph Mufumadi fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kaizer Chiefs F.C.'s protests and gave Joseph Mufumadi a yellow card for diving instead. 87 minutes into the game, one of Kaizer Chiefs F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 89 minutes, Mneketshe's Legako King got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nkosi Modipa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timothy King in the 93rd minute of play forced Kaizer Chiefs F.C.'s goalkeeper Nkosi Modipa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Mneketshe could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kaizer Chiefs F.C. throughout the match.
