Spectators: 8472 (Terracing: 6355, Seating: 1948, VIP seats: 169) Shakeel Machete started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ivan Webb kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 12thth minute of the game Shakeel Machete who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Cepeni's Mabusela Mkhonza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Shakeel Machete took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mabusela Mkhonza to make any attempt to save it. In the 22nd minute, Timothy Nhlapo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sanjay Bartlett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeff Madima in the 26th minute of play. Mabusela Mkhonza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shakeel Machete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 29 minutes, Shakeel Machete managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RUSTENBURG F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shakeel Machete was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edries Patel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, FC Cepeni's goal looked a bit too open when Shakeel Machete came free, but Mabusela Mkhonza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeff Madima in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sanjay Bartlett saved RUSTENBURG F.C from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeff Madima was the one to do the kick off. Edries Patel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mabusela Mkhonza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jeff Madima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sanjay Bartlett was relentless in the 85th minute of the game.
