Alex Klein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rabelani Kekana in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, FC Breetsvlei's goal looked a bit too open when Hlamane Manyethela came free, but Delron Lekgwathi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rabelani Kekana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Alex Klein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hlamane Manyethela in the 30th minute of play forced FC Breetsvlei's goalkeeper Delron Lekgwathi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Qabi kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rabelani Kekana to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rabelani Kekana in the 52nd minute of play forced Soutpomp's goalkeeper Alex Klein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Qabi charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Qabi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rafael Qabi hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Soutpomp's zone, Rabelani Kekana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Klein came out of the goal and Rabelani Kekana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, FC Breetsvlei's Rabelani Kekana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alex Klein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Delron Lekgwathi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Qabi in the 60th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tyrell Shoba during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Soutpomp fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! Shakeel Shoba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delron Lekgwathi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hlamane Manyethela, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Shakeel Shoba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 minutes, Papi Madiba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soutpomp and the FC Breetsvlei players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Breetsvlei were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Soutpomp's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nick Arendse took the corner. FC Breetsvlei's Madolo Mkhonza was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alex Klein in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 97thth minute of the game Shakeel Shoba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soutpomp's Alex Klein was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
