Lucky Kanku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyisani Mbule in the 11th minute of play. When Jason Bartlett fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boegoeberg's protests and gave Jason Bartlett a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC. OZZO booed when Boegoeberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Bartlett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jason Bartlett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jikolo Manyethela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Thabile Macheke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jikolo Manyethela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thabile Macheke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Boegoeberg getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Bradley Setlaba hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

53 minutes into the match, Boegoeberg's goal looked a bit too open when Lucky Fortuin came free, but Lucky Kanku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Lungie Kubheka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Boegoeberg's goalkeeper Lucky Kanku had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricky Mathibe. Jason Bartlett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jikolo Manyethela having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, FC. OZZO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kingston Kerns to maneuver through the defense. When Thabile Macheke came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Boegoeberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thabile Macheke couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in FC. OZZO's zone, Thabile Macheke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jikolo Manyethela came out of the goal and Thabile Macheke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucky Fortuin in the 74th minute of play forced Boegoeberg's goalkeeper Lucky Kanku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC. OZZO's Jikolo Manyethela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thabile Macheke in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Thabile Macheke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jason Bartlett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jikolo Manyethela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
