In the 45thth minute of the game Kingston Lekgwathi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Gelukshof's Rob Thebile was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Nicolas Phakathi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rob Thebile. FC Gelukshof's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolas Phakathi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brandon Miti to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Gelukshof booed when Susterstroom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddie Mufadi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Susterstroom's Kingston Lekgwathi got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Susterstroom played a much better game than FC Gelukshof and deserved their victory. The FC Gelukshof players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
