Ricky Kubheka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wycliffe Magagane in the 6th minute of the match. If Johann Thompson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wycliffe Magagane in the 11th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Ricky Kubheka kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Wycliffe Magagane's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricky Kubheka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Wycliffe Magagane got in the 18th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ricky Kubheka handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Wycliffe Magagane might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricky Kubheka. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wycliffe Magagane ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Bongi Radebe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palancas Negras's supporters rose to their feet, but Bongi Radebe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricky Kubheka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wycliffe Magagane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Wycliffe Magagane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricky Kubheka was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Wycliffe Magagane blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricky Kubheka having to make a save. After 31 played minutes DISTRICT 9 got a freekick which was hit by Steve Melele. Dean Patel hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Wycliffe Magaganes short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Ricky Kubheka to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sibongile Mhlathe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricky Kubheka came out and tried to block the shot, but Sibongile Mhlathe slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 41st minute. After 43 minutes, Bongi Radebe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palancas Negras and the DISTRICT 9 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bongi Radebe hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Hanile Mbule fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Sono having to interfere. Wycliffe Magagane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The supporters of Palancas Negras booed when DISTRICT 9 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hanile Mbule didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, DISTRICT 9's goal looked a bit too open when Wycliffe Magagane came free, but Ricky Kubheka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanyani Thebile scored 4-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricky Kubheka, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andre Qabi kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to DISTRICT 9 getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Patrice Maduna hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Wycliffe Magagane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricky Kubheka was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wycliffe Magagane in the 68th minute of play forced DISTRICT 9's goalkeeper Ricky Kubheka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in DISTRICT 9's zone, Bongi Radebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricky Kubheka came out of the goal and Bongi Radebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute Thanyani Thebile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricky Kubheka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Wycliffe Magagane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricky Kubheka was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Ricky Kubheka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wycliffe Magagane in the 87th minute of play. Wycliffe Magagane struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Ricky Kubheka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palancas Negras. Palancas Negras's David Sono proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Palancas Negras from getting a goal against them. Wycliffe Magagane might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricky Kubheka. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wycliffe Magagane ran back to his position shaking his head.
