The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Musa Modipa charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Musa Modipa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, FC KuLombombo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Musa Modipa to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute Paris Saint city were awarded a corner. Rafael Thebile went to the cornerflag to take it. Sipho Thompson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jafta Dinha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC KuLombombo's goalkeeper Sipho Thompson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, Paris Saint city was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradley King to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Paris Saint city booed when FC KuLombombo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Musa Modipa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Musa Modipa was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 33rd minute, Musa Modipa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hanile Nkadimeng struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Boyisani Machete didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC KuLombombo. FC KuLombombo's Sipho Thompson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jafta Dinha in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hanile Nkadimeng to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Milton Magagane left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paris Saint city fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 62 minutes into the match, FC KuLombombo's goal looked a bit too open when Jafta Dinha came free, but Sipho Thompson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Paris Saint city getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Stanton Mandela hit a great ball. Hanile Nkadimeng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Boyisani Machete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sipho Thompson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jafta Dinha went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Milton Magagane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Sipho Thompson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, Milton Magagane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paris Saint city's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milton Magagane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute Milton Magagane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sipho Thompson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boyisani Mabele kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. If Milton Magagane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Jafta Dinha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sipho Thompson. FC KuLombombo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jafta Dinha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Sipho Thompson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton Magagane in the 93rd minute of play. Milton Magagane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Paris Saint city were the better team. Paris Saint city's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
