Spectators: 8375 (Terracing: 6318, Seating: 1937, VIP seats: 120) Hlamane Khumalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yacoob Takane having to interfere. Shumani Klein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Arendse having to interfere. When Cornell Mfeke came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Buffelshoek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cornell Mfeke couldn't finish the play. Darren Arendse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shumani Klein in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Buffelshoek's Cornell Mfeke sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Darren Arendse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Shumani Klein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the game, Ricky Machete cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Yacoob Takane was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Shumani Klein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Hlamane Khumalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Buffelshoek's zone, Hlamane Khumalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yacoob Takane came out of the goal and Hlamane Khumalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricky Machete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yacoob Takane having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hlamane Khumalo was the one to do the kick off. When Mpenza Miti fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BLACK STARS FC's protests and gave Mpenza Miti a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Buffelshoek booed when BLACK STARS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mpenza Miti didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Hlamane Khumalo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yacoob Takane was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Yacoob Takane came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by BLACK STARS FC's Ricky Machete. But to his dismay, Ricky Machete quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hlamane Khumalo in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yacoob Takane saved Buffelshoek from getting behind. Hlamane Khumalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Yacoob Takane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 played minutes Buffelshoek got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Mokhasi. Ricky Machete recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Buffelshoek booed when BLACK STARS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simamane Thembe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darren Arendse came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Buffelshoek's Shumani Klein. But to his dismay, Shumani Klein quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Albert Mandla charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Mandla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Albert Mandla hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes Cornell Mfeke rounded BLACK STARS FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2.
