Spectators: 8254 (Terracing: 6313, Seating: 1936, VIP seats: 5) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Legako Sephiri made the kick off which started today's match. In the 6th minute Legako Sephiri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alpheus Takane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jafta Mabele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Webb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the game, Bongi Magagane was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Mkemane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kift boys f.c the free kick. The supporters of Kift boys f.c booed when FC Mkemane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bongi Magagane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mthunzi Sibeko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Alpheus Takane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Legako Sephiri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alpheus Takane having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Kift boys f.c's goal looked a bit too open when Legako Sephiri came free, but Alpheus Takane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silas Webb's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jafta Mabele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After 31 played minutes FC Mkemane got a freekick which was hit by Bongi Magagane. Kift boys f.c's Albert Bartlett couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Mkemane. FC Mkemane's Jafta Mabele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathibela Konza in the 36th minute of play. Legako Sephiri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Kift boys f.c's Alpheus Takane got control of the ball when Mthunzi Sibeko tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silas Webb was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Legako Sephiri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Mkemane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Legako Sephiri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 59th play minutes Legako Sephiri shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Alpheus Takane and just under the crossbar into goal. Mathibela Konza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silas Webb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jafta Mabele having to interfere. After 69 played minutes FC Mkemane got a freekick which was hit by Albert Mabele. Alpheus Takane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mthunzi Sibeko in the 73rd minute of the match. Silas Webb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 80 minutes of play, Kift boys f.c's Silas Webb made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jafta Mabele was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bongi Magagane hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match.
