Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Johann Modise started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Johann Modise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrice Mandela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rini MKB 2005's Johann Modise got a free kick in the 7th minute. Vuyo Fredericks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Etafia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 21 minutes, Etienne Ntsume managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rini MKB 2005's supporters crossed their fingers, but Etienne Ntsume was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rob Thebile received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Vuyo Fredericks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 30 minutes on the clock, Etienne Ntsume commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rini MKB 2005 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Glenside a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nick Dinha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rini MKB 2005's Vuyo Fredericks. 1-1. 35 minutes into the match, Rini MKB 2005's goalkeeper Vuyo Fredericks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hassan Qabi. In the 36th minute, Glenside's Rob Thebile ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vuyo Fredericks. Vuyo Fredericks yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Vuyo Fredericks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Etafia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stanton Nauseb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Stanton Nauseb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rini MKB 2005's Vuyo Fredericks proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Rini MKB 2005 from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricky Etafia was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Glenside got a freekick which was hit by Mpenza Stoltz. Vuyo Fredericks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rob Thebile, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Mpenza Stoltz struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Vuyo Fredericks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glenside. 61 minutes into the game, Rob Thebile cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Vuyo Fredericks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Rini MKB 2005 getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Stanton Nauseb hit a great ball. Vuyo Fredericks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Etafia in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Ricky Etafia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vuyo Fredericks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Etafia in the 73rd minute of play forced Rini MKB 2005's goalkeeper Vuyo Fredericks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fuzile Kolwa came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Rini MKB 2005 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fuzile Kolwa couldn't finish the play. Patrice Mandela was a little too slow when Stanton Nauseb got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 3-2. Stanton Nauseb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrice Mandela having to interfere. Vuyo Fredericks didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricky Etafia went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Vuyo Fredericks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Etafia in the 90th minute of play. Mpenza Stoltz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vuyo Fredericks having to interfere. Vuyo Fredericks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mpenza Stoltz's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Glenside were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rini MKB 2005 for a fine match.
