Lukolweni's Wycliffe Mathibe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bongi Stoltz in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of Peninghotsa booed when Lukolweni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Qabi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Peninghotsa got a freekick which was hit by Promise Wanani. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ebrahim Lekgwathi in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mthunzi Madima saved Peninghotsa from getting behind. Wycliffe Mathibe came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Peninghotsa's Bongi Stoltz. But to his dismay, Bongi Stoltz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Promise Wanani might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wycliffe Mathibe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Promise Wanani ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 32 minutes, Promise Wanani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peninghotsa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Promise Wanani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stanton Arendse kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Wycliffe Mathibe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bongi Stoltz, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Akil Klaasens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bongi Stoltz in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wycliffe Mathibe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mpenza Tshabalala hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the game, Peninghotsa's Promise Wanani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wycliffe Mathibe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Promise Wanani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ebrahim Lekgwathi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lukolweni's Wycliffe Mathibe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Lukolweni from getting a goal against them. Promise Wanani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wycliffe Mathibe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bongi Stoltz in the 59th minute of the match. Bongi Stoltzs short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Wycliffe Mathibe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mthunzi Madima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ebrahim Lekgwathi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Lukolweni getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Thomas Qabi hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Jakob Modise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80thth minute of the game Mpenza Tshabalala who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lukolweni's Wycliffe Mathibe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lukolweni's Wycliffe Mathibe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bongi Stoltz in the 83rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Lukolweni defense, Promise Wanani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wycliffe Mathibe. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peninghotsa's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
