Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 9 minutes of play, Merinowelk's Fuzile Thebile made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steve Mokatimi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the match, Merinowelk's goalkeeper Steve Mokatimi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johann Mkhwanazi. FC Gansbaai's Tomas Dube got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samuel Thebile hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Steve Mokatimi was a little too slow when Tomas Dube got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-2. Steve Mokatimi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johann Mkhwanazi's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Dube to make the kick off. After 62 played minutes Fuzile Thebile rounded FC Gansbaai's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siphokazi Madima during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Siphokazi Madima kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Johann Mkhwanazi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steve Mokatimi having to make a save. Steve Mokatimi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Gansbaai getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Jomo Klein hit a great ball. Tomas Dube took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steve Mokatimi. Steve Mokatimi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
