Samuel Mayoyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vuyo Nkadimeng in the 7th minute of the match. Samuel Mayoyo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leon Makweni went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Johann Mkhwanazi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry Sephiri having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leon Thabang got free with Samuel Mayoyo in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Samuel Mayoyo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Thabang in the 32nd minute. Leon Thabang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Samuel Mayoyo made a huge save. Nayijele's Henry Sephiri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bongi Dinha in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Dube in the 37th minute of play forced Nayijele's goalkeeper Henry Sephiri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the game, FC Gansbaai's Johann Mkhwanazi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henry Sephiri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leon Makweni got free with Samuel Mayoyo in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Dube was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Nayijele's Basil Mabele got a free kick in the 51st minute. Nayijele's Henry Sephiri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Nayijele from getting a goal against them. After 56 played minutes FC Gansbaai got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Thebile. The supporters of Nayijele booed when FC Gansbaai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Thebile didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vuyo Nkadimeng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 66 minutes into the match, FC Gansbaai's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Thabang came free, but Samuel Mayoyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Johannes Laher notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC Gansbaai's Samuel Mayoyo. Samuel Mayoyo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The tension between the Nayijele and the FC Gansbaai players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Gansbaai booed when Nayijele was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Thabang didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Nayijele's goalkeeper Henry Sephiri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Dube. Samuel Thebile kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Samuel Mayoyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Thabang, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
