Vuyo Nkadimeng started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Fuzile Thebile managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fuzile Thebile recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute Leon Makweni suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 18th match minute, Merinowelk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Takane to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Fuzile Thebile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Sephiri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes Fuzile Thebile rounded Nayijele's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Fuzile Thebile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johannes Laher hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Merinowelk's Ivan Takane got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Leon Thabang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nayijele's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Thabang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Mokatimi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fuzile Thebile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Fuzile Thebile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Sephiri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Thabang struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Steve Mokatimi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nayijele. Fuzile Thebile received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Henry Sephiri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Godfrey Macheke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry Sephiri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 69thth minute of the game Fuzile Thebile who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nayijele's Henry Sephiri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Merinowelk's Fuzile Thebile in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
