Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mathibela King took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 played minutes Uluxa got a freekick which was hit by Bomikaze Steyn. After 4 played minutes Uluxa got a freekick which was hit by John Mothobi. Maqwathini's Thami Ngake couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Uluxa. Mathibela King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes Uluxa got a freekick which was hit by Musa Arendse. Musa Arendse's late challenge caught a Maqwathini's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Musa Arendse helped the player get up and apologised. Sam Komani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nkosi Thompson in the 18th minute of play. With a little luck, Maqwathini's Boyisani Nkadimeng got control of the ball when Mabusela Makweni tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Uluxa's zone, Maxwell Mufadi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sam Komani came out of the goal and Maxwell Mufadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 minutes, Legako Kerns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maqwathini and the Uluxa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Uluxa's Mathibela King got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uluxa's Sam Komani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxwell Mufadi in the 29th minute of play. Maxwell Mufadi struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Sam Komani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maqwathini. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maxwell Mufadi to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Uluxa getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Mabusela Makweni hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Maxwell Mufadi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boyisani Nkadimeng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mabusela Makweni's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The Uluxa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 87 minutes into the match, Mathibela King had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boyisani Nkadimeng. Maqwathini's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathibela King was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. A collision led to Uluxa getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Brandon Qabi hit a great ball. Maqwathini's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
