Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Wycliffe Mathibe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johann Mkhwanazi in the 3rd minute of play. In the 9th minute, FC Gansbaai's Johann Mkhwanazi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wycliffe Mathibe. Wycliffe Mathibe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Dube got free with Wycliffe Mathibe in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, FC Gansbaai's Samuel Thebile got a free kick in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Lukolweni's Jocob Kekana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Mayoyo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Wycliffe Mathibe made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Johann Mkhwanazi sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Bernard Mhlongo put in a rough tackle. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Gansbaai! The referee gave Lukolweni a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thomas Qabi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Gansbaai's Samuel Mayoyo. 1-2. Jocob Kekana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Mayoyo having to interfere. Ebrahim Lekgwathi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes FC Gansbaai got a freekick which was hit by Nazeer Roberts. Samuel Thebile struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Wycliffe Mathibe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Gansbaai. When Jonas Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Lukolweni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Nunes couldn't finish the play. After the first half Lukolweni were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 56th play minutes Jocob Kekana shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Samuel Mayoyo and just under the crossbar into goal. FC Gansbaai's Samuel Mayoyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ebrahim Lekgwathi in the 59th minute of play. Wycliffe Mathibe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Dube, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Tomas Dube sped through Lukolweni's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wycliffe Mathibe. Samuel Mayoyo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jocob Kekana in the 65th minute. Tomas Dube sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wycliffe Mathibe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Dube, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wycliffe Mathibe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Dube's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. If Nazeer Roberts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lukolweni had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
