Elias Dinha came out of the goal and Maxwell Mufadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maxwell Mufadi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute Nkosi Thompson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Dinha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxwell Mufadi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sipho Mufadi hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Sev7en Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Maxwell Mufadi came free, but Elias Dinha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Nkosi Thompson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elias Dinha. Sev7en Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nkosi Thompson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Elias Dinha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxwell Mufadi in the 36th minute of the match. After the first half Maqwathini were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thabile Collins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maqwathini's Nkosi Thompson got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elias Dinha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nkosi Thompson in the 53rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Maqwathini's Nkosi Thompson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elias Dinha. That made the score 0-2 after 55 minutes of play. Thabile Collins struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Boyisani Nkadimeng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sev7en Stars. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nkosi Thompson in the 60th minute of play forced Sev7en Stars's goalkeeper Elias Dinha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maxwell Mufadi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias Dinha having to make a save. Nkosi Thompson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Maqwathini's Legako Kerns sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elias Dinha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maxwell Mufadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Sev7en Stars's Sipho Mufadi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sipho Mufadi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sev7en Stars protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sipho Mufadi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sev7en Stars! With a little luck, Sev7en Stars's Elias Dinha got control of the ball when Maxwell Mufadi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sev7en Stars's Elias Dinha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Sev7en Stars from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maxwell Mufadi got free with Elias Dinha in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Maqwathini booed when Sev7en Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gordon Tembe didn't get a good kick on the ball.
