Jakob Nhlapo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Merlin Taine when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gérard Deroubaix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Phillip Mkhize having to make a save. Phillip Mkhize took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francis Liau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jakob Nhlapo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Merlin Taine made a huge save. Jakob Nhlapo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Merlin Taine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mpenza Collins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Danail Borchev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Kruisvallei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skull Breakers the free kick. After 57 played minutes FC Kruisvallei got a freekick which was hit by Danail Borchev. Jakob Nhlapo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute Jakob Nhlapo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Taine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Skull Breakers booed when FC Kruisvallei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danail Borchev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Skull Breakers's Meshack Tau got a free kick in the 66th minute. Gérard Deroubaix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakob Nhlapo in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Merlin Taine saved FC Kruisvallei from getting behind. Jakob Nhlapo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
