Spectators: 9175 (Terracing: 6883, Seating: 2110, VIP seats: 182) Wild Elephants's Fuzile Mnisi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Fuzile Mnisi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blue Sharks's Tommy Henriksson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaba Huth blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Henriksson having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, James Thokozani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wild Elephants's supporters rose to their feet, but James Thokozani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Henriksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phillip Shongwe struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Legako Qabi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blue Sharks. Legako Qabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alpheus Mokhasi, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute Phillip Shongwe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Legako Qabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Wild Elephants's goalkeeper Legako Qabi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Phillip Shongwe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Legako Qabi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the match, Blue Sharks's goal looked a bit too open when James Thokozani came free, but Tommy Henriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alpheus Mokhasi in the 30th minute of play forced Wild Elephants's goalkeeper Legako Qabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phillip Shongwe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Legako Qabi having to make a save. When Thabo Kanku fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wild Elephants's protests and gave Thabo Kanku a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, Wild Elephants was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thabo Kanku to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Blue Sharks's zone, Fuzile Mnisi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Henriksson came out of the goal and Fuzile Mnisi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blue Sharks's Tommy Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fuzile Mnisi in the 37th minute of play. Fuzile Mnisi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute, Fuzile Mnisi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tommy Henriksson, passed just outside the right post. Phillip Shongwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Legako Qabi having to interfere.

Fuzile Mnisi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Tommy Henriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wild Elephants's James Thokozani has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 60th minute. Tommy Henriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Thokozani in the 63rd minute of play. Phillip Shongwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Fuzile Mnisi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute Alpheus Mokhasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Legako Qabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Legako Qabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alpheus Mokhasi, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Blue Sharks's Tommy Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Thokozani in the 76th minute of play. Thabo Kanku fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Henriksson having to interfere. If Fuzile Mnisi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fuzile Mnisi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Henriksson having to interfere. When James Thokozani came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Wild Elephants fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that James Thokozani couldn't finish the play. Blue Sharks were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Wild Elephants's much stronger midfield.
