Eiffel
Spectators: 6265 (Terracing: 5000,
Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 15) Dalibba's Sanjay Laher started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 6 minutes, Terence Madiya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eiffel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Terence Madiya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Terence Madiya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Tomas Dinha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Siphokazi Madiba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Papi Madima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Dinha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siphokazi Madiba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Siphokazi Madiba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Tomas Dinha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Terence Madiya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomas Dinha was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Papi Madima did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Tomas Dinha 19 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Terence Madiya took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Tomas Dinha to make any attempt to save it. Papi Madima struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Tomas Dinha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eiffel. When Takalani Mbule came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Eiffel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Takalani Mbule couldn't finish the play. Terence Madiya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Dinha having to interfere. After 31 minutes, Takalani Mbule made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Dalibba's Tomas Dinha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Papi Madima came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Eiffel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Papi Madima couldn't finish the play. Terence Madiya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Dinha having to interfere. If Takalani Mbule had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Dalibba's goal looked a bit too open when Papi Madima came free, but Tomas Dinha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Dalibba's goalkeeper Tomas Dinha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Eiffel's Takalani Mbule sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomas Dinha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mathibela Mangope charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathibela Mangope the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th match minute, Dalibba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathibela Mangope to maneuver through the defense. Eiffel's Muzaffer Gagauz was substituted for Papi Madima. After 49 played minutes Dalibba got a freekick which was hit by Mathibela Mangope. In the 50th minute, Eiffel's Takalani Mbule dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Muzaffer Gagauz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Siphokazi Madiba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomas Dinha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. If Muzaffer Gagauz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Muzaffer Gagauz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomas Dinha. Dalibba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Muzaffer Gagauz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. In the 74th minute, Takalani Mbule left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eiffel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Tomas Dinha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Terence Madiya's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Siphokazi Madiba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Terence Madiya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Tomas Dinha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomas Dinha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Muzaffer Gagauz's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. A hard shot 86 in the game by Papi Kanku from a close distance when the talented Mariusz Lewicki managed to make a qualified save. Eiffel's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siphokazi Madiba during the 100th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 101st minute, Siphokazi Madiba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Eiffel were the better team. Eiffel's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
