Nicholas Mbule received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tommy Henriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phillip Shongwe's late challenge caught a FC Kruisvallei's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Phillip Shongwe helped the player get up and apologised. Phillip Shongwe hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Merlin Taine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phillip Shongwe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Phillip Shongwe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Merlin Taine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gérard Deroubaix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alpheus Ntsume kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Tommy Henriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gérard Deroubaix in the 18th minute of the match. Phillip Shongwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merlin Taine having to interfere. In the 24th minute Phillip Shongwe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Taine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alpheus Mokhasi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Blue Sharks's goal looked a bit too open when Gérard Deroubaix came free, but Tommy Henriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Alpheus Mokhasi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Sharks's supporters rose to their feet, but Alpheus Mokhasi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merlin Taine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gérard Deroubaix in the 36th minute of play forced Blue Sharks's goalkeeper Tommy Henriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Blue Sharks's Tommy Henriksson got control of the ball when Gérard Deroubaix tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ulryk Gargasz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Hanile Josephs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blue Sharks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kruisvallei the free kick. The supporters of FC Kruisvallei booed when Blue Sharks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hanile Josephs didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gérard Deroubaix stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Merlin Taine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alpheus Mokhasi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danail Borchev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Tommy Henriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Merlin Taine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alpheus Mokhasi, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Phillip Shongwe in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Merlin Taine, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 72 minutes into the game, Phillip Shongwe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Merlin Taine. Phillip Shongwe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Merlin Taine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phillip Shongwe in the 76th minute. Alpheus Mokhasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Merlin Taine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gérard Deroubaix came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FC Kruisvallei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gérard Deroubaix couldn't finish the play. After 86 minutes of play, FC Kruisvallei's Danail Borchev made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Henriksson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tommy Henriksson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gérard Deroubaix went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the FC Kruisvallei players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
