Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mpenza Collins started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simamane Macheke in the 5th minute of play forced Skull Breakers's goalkeeper Phillip Mkhize to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 played minutes Skull Breakers got a freekick which was hit by Steve Mncube. The audience was convinced that Mpenza Collins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaak Taelma was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Phillip Mkhize showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leslie Sephadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simamane Macheke in the 22nd minute of play forced Skull Breakers's goalkeeper Phillip Mkhize to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simamane Macheke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Skull Breakers's goal looked a bit too open when Simamane Macheke came free, but Phillip Mkhize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaak Taelma made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Jakob Nhlapo sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Skull Breakers's Ebrahim Sephadi got a free kick in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Mcotsho's Thami Ngake broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Simamane Macheke made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Skull Breakers's Phillip Mkhize got control of the ball when Leslie Sephadi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leslie Sephadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jakob Nhlapo came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Skull Breakers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakob Nhlapo couldn't finish the play. If Simamane Macheke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Skull Breakers's zone, Leslie Sephadi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phillip Mkhize came out of the goal and Leslie Sephadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Mcotsho booed when Skull Breakers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ebrahim Sephadi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaak Taelma came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Skull Breakers's Jakob Nhlapo. But to his dismay, Jakob Nhlapo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jaak Taelma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Nhlapo in the 94th minute of play. If Leslie Sephadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
