Papi Kanku could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Edries Mayoyo made a huge save. Sanjay Laher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rob Maduna to make the kick off. The referee ignored Atlantis FC's protests and gave Rob Maduna a yellow card for diving instead. Atlantis FC's Rob Maduna got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes into the game, Dalibba's Papi Kanku nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edries Mayoyo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When the match was over Atlantis FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dalibba throughout the match.
