The Dalibba fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Dalibba's Sanjay Laher looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the game, Ebrahim Sephadi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skull Breakers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dalibba the free kick. A collision led to Skull Breakers getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ebrahim Sephadi hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Jakob Nhlapo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Dinha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mpenza Collins in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Dinha saved Dalibba from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mpenza Collins in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Dinha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 79 minutes of play, Skull Breakers's Jakob Nhlapo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomas Dinha was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Jakob Nhlapo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomas Dinha was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. The supporters of Dalibba booed when Skull Breakers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Thebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Phillip Mkhize showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jomo King in the 91st minute of the match. Tomas Dinha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mpenza Collins in the 92nd minute of play. Mpenza Collins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
