The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Blue Sharks:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Motolong:s goal. Tommy Henriksson made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Nelson Nkadimeng sent off a good shot on target. Tommy Henriksson was a little too slow when Nelson Nkadimeng got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Nelson Nkadimeng's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Tommy Henriksson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alpheus Ntsume hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Nelson Nkadimeng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motolong's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Nkadimeng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Henriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takalani Mhlathe, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Nelson Nkadimeng who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Tommy Henriksson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, Thomas Mbheki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Henriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Nkadimeng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Henriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takalani Mhlathe, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Takalani Mhlathe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Henriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takalani Mhlathe in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Nelson Nkadimeng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Motolong's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelson Nkadimeng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Henriksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Takalani Mhlathe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Henriksson was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Takalani Mhlathe to make the kick off. A collision led to Blue Sharks getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Alpheus Ntsume hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Alpheus Ntsume hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute Takalani Mhlathe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Henriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Nelson Nkadimeng sped through Blue Sharks's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Henriksson. 70 minutes into the match, Takalani Mhlathe notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Blue Sharks's Tommy Henriksson. Tommy Henriksson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Motolong's Takalani Mhlathe in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Takalani Mhlathe in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Henriksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Takalani Mhlathe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Nkadimeng in the 87th minute of play forced Blue Sharks's goalkeeper Tommy Henriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Mbheki during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Blue Sharks getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Thomas Mbheki hit a great ball. If Gary Josephs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blue Sharks's Tommy Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Nkadimeng in the 94th minute of play. Motolong's Nelson Nkadimeng got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 98th minute, Thomas Mbheki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Motolong's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
