In the 17th minute, James Thokozani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Wild Elephants's zone, Meshack Mangope stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Legako Qabi came out of the goal and Meshack Mangope tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the game, Jaba Huth threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atlantis FC's Dean Nunes quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Legako Qabi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rob Maduna went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Johannes Nauseb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Legako Qabi having to interfere. Rob Maduna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Legako Qabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wild Elephants fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! Thabo Kanku's late challenge caught a Atlantis FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thabo Kanku helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Ivan Serage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fuzile Mnisi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Wild Elephants's zone, Rob Maduna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Legako Qabi came out of the goal and Rob Maduna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thabo Kanku was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Thabo Kanku kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Meshack Mangope recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Legako Qabi. Meshack Mangope showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. 87 minutes into the match, Wild Elephants's goal looked a bit too open when Rob Maduna came free, but Legako Qabi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nazeer Thompson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Atlantis FC's Ivan Serage ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Legako Qabi. Legako Qabi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. When the match was over Atlantis FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Wild Elephants throughout the match.
