Spectators: 9198 (Terracing: 6900, Seating: 2115, VIP seats: 183) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fuzile Mnisi started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Motolong's zone, Fuzile Mnisi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanton Mandla came out of the goal and Fuzile Mnisi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute Takalani Mhlathe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Legako Qabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. James Thokozani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanton Mandla having to interfere. If Takalani Mhlathe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Nelson Nkadimeng notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Wild Elephants's Legako Qabi. Legako Qabi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute, Wild Elephants's Samuel Edwards seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Samuel Edwards the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Wild Elephants protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Samuel Edwards had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Wild Elephants:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Motolong:s goal. When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, Motolong's Jomo Mabele got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Legako Qabi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelson Nkadimeng got free with Legako Qabi in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Motolong's Nelson Nkadimeng in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wild Elephants's goalie prevented a goal. When Fuzile Mnisi fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wild Elephants's protests and gave Fuzile Mnisi a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Wild Elephants got a freekick which was hit by Fuzile Mnisi. Wild Elephants's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Takalani Mhlathe 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Rob Makweni hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Nkadimeng in the 58th minute of play forced Wild Elephants's goalkeeper Legako Qabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Motolong's Takalani Mhlathe in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wild Elephants's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Papi Mbheki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wild Elephants's supporters rose to their feet, but Papi Mbheki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanton Mandla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gary Josephs in the 70th minute of play forced Wild Elephants's goalkeeper Legako Qabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thabo Kanku kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Wild Elephants's Legako Qabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Nkadimeng in the 75th minute of play. Takalani Mhlathe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Legako Qabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelson Nkadimeng in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Legako Qabi saved Wild Elephants from getting behind. A collision led to Wild Elephants getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. James Thokozani hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takalani Mhlathe in the 82nd minute of play forced Wild Elephants's goalkeeper Legako Qabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Wild Elephants's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Edwards came free, but Legako Qabi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86thth minute of the game Nelson Nkadimeng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wild Elephants's Legako Qabi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Takalani Mhlathe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Legako Qabi was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Legako Qabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takalani Mhlathe in the 90th minute of play. Takalani Mhlathe scored 5-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Legako Qabi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Motolong players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
