Spectators: 9235 (Terracing: 6928, Seating: 2124, VIP seats: 183) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alpheus Mokhasi took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 6 minutes of play, Leeudrif's Fuzile Mbule made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Henriksson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th match minute, Leeudrif was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edries Steyn to maneuver through the defense. Jomo Dinha stood somewhat misplaced when Alpheus Mokhasi came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 12 minute. In the 19thth minute of the game Alpheus Mokhasi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leeudrif's Jomo Dinha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Phillip Shongwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Blue Sharks's Alpheus Mokhasi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jomo Dinha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 31 minutes into the game, Lucas Kubheka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blue Sharks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leeudrif the free kick. After 31 played minutes Blue Sharks got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Kubheka. Phillip Shongwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blue Sharks's goalkeeper Tommy Henriksson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Phillip Shongwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jomo Dinha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phillip Shongwe, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fuzile Mbule in the 66th minute of play forced Blue Sharks's goalkeeper Tommy Henriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phillip Shongwe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jomo Dinha having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Leeudrif's Leslie Laher got a free kick in the 71st minute. After some careless play in the Blue Sharks defense, Edries Steyn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Henriksson. The Blue Sharks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Henriksson should have stopped the shot. Jomo Dinha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Mbheki, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 88th minute, Thomas Roberts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Blue Sharks's Leon Wanani tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jomo Dinha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alpheus Mokhasi in the 91st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Leeudrif's zone, Alpheus Mokhasi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jomo Dinha came out of the goal and Alpheus Mokhasi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute Alpheus Mokhasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jomo Dinha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Leeudrif supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Leeudrif would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
