Mcotsho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlantis FC the free kick. Edries Mayoyo came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Mcotsho's Leslie Sephadi. But to his dismay, Leslie Sephadi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Meshack Mangope might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaak Taelma. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Meshack Mangope ran back to his position shaking his head. Mawetu Madima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Edries Mayoyo made a huge save. With a little luck, Atlantis FC's Edries Mayoyo got control of the ball when Mawetu Madima tried to sneak it across the goal line.
