Ivan Mangope made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Boyisana Machete sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Ivan Mangope managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Gqeberha All Stars's Jomo Phakathi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 21 minutes into the match, Springbok's goalkeeper Ivan Mangope had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jomo Phakathi. After a rather tough play, Springbok's Johann Stoltz got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Jomo Phakathi scored 1-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Mangope, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot 28 in the game by Jomo Phakathi from a close distance when the talented Ivan Mangope managed to make a qualified save. Springbok's players were relieved. Thabile Nauseb received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivan Mangope came out and tried to block the shot, but Thabile Nauseb slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Springbok's Stanton Modipa got a free kick in the 35th minute. Jomo Phakathi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Ivan Mangope made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Jomo Phakathi put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ivan Mangope. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edries Liau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thami Miti kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 59 minutes of play, Gqeberha All Stars's Thabile Nauseb made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Mangope was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 63 minutes, Jomo Phakathi made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Springbok's Ivan Mangope tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th minute, Thabile Nauseb ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Mangope was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. After 74 minutes, Jomo Phakathi made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Springbok's Ivan Mangope tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gqeberha All Stars's Promise Lekgwathi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Gqeberha All Stars from getting a goal against them. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Springbok's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Boyisana Machete was slow to take the kick. During this time Gqeberha All Stars's players had a chance to rest. Ivan Mangope came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Gqeberha All Stars's Jomo Phakathi. But to his dismay, Jomo Phakathi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Jomo Phakathi succeeded in the game's 91st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 11-0. Thabile Nauseb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ivan Mangope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Gqeberha All Stars players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
