Vuyo Dube didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thami Klaasens went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Norman Miti hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Union Transvaal's Thami Klaasens dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sipho Tau in the 18th minute of play forced Hotolos's goalkeeper Vuyo Dube to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vuyo Dube made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sipho Tau in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sipho Tau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vuyo Dube was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norman Miti during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The long shot by Takalani Manyethela in the 26th minute really tested Vuyo Dube's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Boyisani Bandura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Hotolos defense, Sipho Tau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vuyo Dube. The Hotolos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vuyo Dube should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Thami Klaasens took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Vuyo Dube to make any attempt to save it. Vuyo Dube showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thami Klaasens, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Thami Klaasens in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vuyo Dube, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

The wind increased when Thami Klaasens made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thami Klaasens in the 54th minute of play forced Hotolos's goalkeeper Vuyo Dube to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Michael Pretorius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vuyo Dube made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sipho Tau in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Sipho Tau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Vuyo Dube was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72ndth minute of the game Thami Klaasens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hotolos's Vuyo Dube was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Thami Klaasens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Edwards hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute of the match Takalani Manyethela shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vuyo Dube showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Tristan Thaier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thami Klaasens in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vuyo Dube saved Hotolos from getting behind. In the 86th minute Thami Klaasens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vuyo Dube saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 played minutes Hotolos got a freekick which was hit by Norman Miti. When Thami Klaasens came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Union Transvaal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thami Klaasens couldn't finish the play. Hotolos's Vuyo Dube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thami Klaasens in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Thami Klaasens made a precise shot to the right of Vuyo Dube. Hotolos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Vuyo Dube showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thami Klaasens in the 94th minute of the match. Thami Klaasens scored 8-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vuyo Dube, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Union Transvaal fully deserved thier win.
