The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Golden Arrows's Ruperto Gonza was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 3rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Vuyo Dube showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Gonza in the 6th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruperto Gonza got free with Vuyo Dube in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Hotolos getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Simamane Josephs hit a great ball. Vuyo Dube took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Löfgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jânio Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Vuyo Dube tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 minutes of play, Golden Arrows's Ruperto Gonza made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vuyo Dube was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vuyo Dube took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arkadiusz Wnukowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 minutes, Jafta Okpara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hotolos and the Golden Arrows players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Hotolos got a freekick which was hit by Jafta Okpara. Arkadiusz Wnukowski succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. 30 minutes into the game, Golden Arrows's Jânio Motta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vuyo Dube made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 35 minutes into the match, Golden Arrows's goal looked a bit too open when Boyisani Bandura came free, but Manuel Antono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jânio Motta kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 41stth minute. Though ot was a great shot Hotolos's keeper Vuyo Dube was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 43rd match minute, Golden Arrows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Gonza to maneuver through the defense. Vuyo Dube didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruperto Gonza went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Legako Macheke to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Jânio Motta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vuyo Dube. Hotolos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jânio Motta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Hotolos's Vuyo Dube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Gonza in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Joel Löfgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vuyo Dube was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Hotolos's Vuyo Dube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Löfgren in the 60th minute of play. Arkadiusz Wnukowski kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Vuyo Dube showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jânio Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Hotolos's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Gonza came free, but Vuyo Dube reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Golden Arrows booed when Hotolos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Edwards didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jafta Okpara hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Vuyo Dube showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jânio Motta in the 72nd minute of the match. Lucas Edwards charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Edwards the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lucas Edwards kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Jânio Motta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vuyo Dube. Hotolos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jânio Motta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. In the 79th minute, Jânio Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Arrows fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 12-0. Vuyo Dube took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arkadiusz Wnukowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vuyo Dube made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jabu Manyethela in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Gonza in the 89th minute of play forced Hotolos's goalkeeper Vuyo Dube to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes of play, Golden Arrows's Jânio Motta made it 13-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vuyo Dube was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vuyo Dube came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Arrows's Joel Löfgren. But to his dismay, Joel Löfgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 14-0. When the referee ended the match the Golden Arrows players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
